Genesis Today

I recently became the community leader for the Genesis Today group on the Collective Bias ning group. I had been learning about Genesis Today juices and products for the last couple of months through CB and have been feeling a real push to get healthier. After traveling to Austin, TX and meeting Dr. Lindsey and several of those people who work at Genesis Today, I got even more motivated. I was there to help judge on the panel for a promotion called Genesis of a Great Idea. I was paid to be a panelist and I am being paid to be a community leader. But paid or not, I would not support a company or products that I do not feel are beneficial to readers.

Building a Healthier You – By Making One Small Change at a Time

One Small Change is the Slogan this year for Genesis Today for this year. I bet it is a safe bet to say that almost all of us would like to be healthier.  But I also know that it can seem like an insurmountable goal for some people.  Losing weight, exercising and being able to eat healthy can seem like simple things to say….but how many of us do them and stick to it? I have to admit that I struggle with getting exercise and watching what I eat.  I happen to love the sweets…and they in turn love my hips! I know what I need to do, it is a matter of will power and sticking to it that is hard for me (and many others).

One Small Step

I tell people when I am helping them to organize a room or house that may seem completely overwhelming…just one small step. Take one small area at a time. Don’t look at the whole room (that you can’t even walk into). Just look at the chair right by the doorway that is covered. Start there. Start small. Make one small change (clean off the chair) and it will make you feel better. Then you will have some motivation to keep going. You will realize…it isn’t so hard. I CAN do this.

One Small Change

With our health it is very much the same. If we make One Small Change towards living healthier, then the 2nd small change won’t seem like much….and the third, fourth and fifth. If we start slow and pick one thing to change. Maybe it is giving up the soda, or switching from eating a candy bar daily to eating a healthy yogurt or pudding instead.  Parking further from the door of a store instead of driving around and around looking for the closest spot possible.  Taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Little things add up. Small changes can turn into big results.
